The MCP client cannot connect

Checks for the address, the transport and the tool list when a client cannot reach https://octo.ad/mcp.

What you see

Your MCP client cannot connect to https://octo.ad/mcp, or lists no tools.

Check

  1. Check the address is exactly https://octo.ad/mcp.
  2. Check the client uses streamable HTTP. The endpoint takes JSON-RPC over POST. A plain GET returns 405.
  3. Send tools/list by hand, as on Connect an AI client over MCP. You should see one tool, ask_octopus.

Why it happens

A wrong address, or a client set up for a different transport.

What to do

  1. Correct the address or the transport, and connect again.
