Agree a rule for repeat decisions
Turn decisions a person keeps making the same way into a rule your people agreed, on the record.
Step 5. Repeat decisions follow the agreed rule.
- What you give: Agreement on rules drawn from the owner's rulings in step 4, from the owner and anyone else you name, such as compliance.
- What you get back: Repeat questions answered by the agreed rule, with who agreed it and when. New automation runs in shadow first: it records what it would have done and does nothing outside. Every approval is logged, and you name who may switch any part of it off: the owner and IT.
- The promise: You can turn any of it off, at once, and see what it did.
Before you start
A named decision owner, ruling on cards on the Desk.
Steps
- Let the owner rule on the decision each time it comes up. Each ruling is on the record.
- Agree a rule drawn from those rulings. With the owner and anyone else you name, such as compliance.
- Run it in shadow first. It records what it would have done and does nothing outside.
- Name who may switch it off. The owner and IT, on the first steps.
What you have at the end
Repeat questions answered by the agreed rule, with who agreed it and when.
