For a developer: connect an agent

Point an MCP client at the public endpoint and ask a question. No account is needed.

Is the public MCP endpoint the same as the platform's tenant API?

No. The public endpoint at https://octo.ad/mcp has one tool, ask_octopus, and answers questions about OCTOPUS from public material; it exposes no customer data and no internal graph. Customer knowledge is reached through authenticated, tenant-scoped connections. Those tools are not published here and are shared under early access.

Steps

  1. For MCP, follow Connect an AI client over MCP. The full steps, with examples.
  2. For plain HTTP, follow Ask over REST.
  3. For customer work, ask for early access. Tenant tools are not published: Tenant APIs and tools.

What you have at the end

Your agent can ask about OCTOPUS from public material. The public endpoint exposes no customer data.
